Monteverde is a refreshing break from the heat of the beaches. Its green slopes
and cascading waterfalls will leave you in awe. Best known for its rich biodiversity and
cloud forest, the Monteverde area is a must see. Nestled in the Tilaran Mountain Range
with views to the Gulf of Nicoya and of Arenal Volcano, Monteverde is a paradise of
lush landscapes.
The area known as Monteverde really consists of a few small towns, Santa Elena being
the most well known, and of several private reserves and forested areas. This region is
unique in that all of the protected lands are private endeavors, not government mandates.

| Horseback Riding |
| |
Monteverde Local Tour: Come and enjoy with us a ride among forest, open fields, coffee and banana crops, see fauna and flora that is specific to the Monteverde area. You will see spectaculars views of the landscape, the golf of Nicoya, plantations and lush foliage that flourishes here in our primary and secondary forest. The normal tour last 2 hours but for experienced rides or adventurous beginners, we can extend it to see a bit more of the surrounding areas in Monteverde.
Departures: Any time you chose; after 8:00 am.
Return: About 2 hours later.
Included: Transportation from your hotel in Monteverde town, healthy
horse, entrance fees and professional guide.

Waterfall Tour: Enjoy a spectacular flora, fauna and views on this unforgettable horseback tour. Ride through impressive forest and farms. Then, take a swim in pure waterfall river water. This tour last approximately 4 hours.
Departures: 8:00 am. (from hotel in Monteverde area).
Return: About 5 hours later.
Included: Transportation from your hotel in Monteverde town, healthy

Horseback Riding from Monteverde to Arenal Volcano (or vece versa): Take a unique one-way horse tour and turn a traveling day into an adventure.
You will spend about 3 hours riding alongside the beautiful Arenal Lake, enjoying the spectacular scenery, views of the volcano and the different species of flora and fauna.
The trip is suitable for all leves of riding experience and is 5.5 hours in total (3 hours in horses).
Departures: 8:00 am. (from Monteverde to Arenal).
8:30 am (from Arenal to Monteverde).
